Judy Maggio’s 30+ years in television news gives her unique insight into how the media landscape has changed. She will share her current work at KLRU leading a new News & Public Affairs initiative & monthly news magazine – Decibel. More info: http://www.decibelatx.org

Judy Maggio is KLRU’s Editorial Director for News & Public Affairs. She leads Decibel, a multi-platform reporting project for KLRU.  Decibel amplifies stories and issues important to Austin by listening to the community and encouraging dynamic discussions.  Maggio is an Emmy award winning, veteran journalist with more than three decades of experience as a lead news anchor in Austin.  She served as Managing Editor at both KVUE-TV (1981-2003) and KEYE-TV (2003-2014).

Sit, Relax, Listen, Enjoy: Strings in the Park is a first ever, family-friendly, Austin-unique, Fall weather concert promoting Austin’s original music and community green spaces. 

Guy Forsyth is an Austin music legend who began his career playing blues in 1990. He has since become an internationally renown frontman, guitar-player, instrumentalist, and songwriter, covering several genres. He’s acted and appeared in several films, mastered several martial arts, and toured the world. Guy is also cofounder of The Asylum Street Spankers and The Hot Nut Riveters, and currently leads the Guy Forsyth duo, trio and Blues Bands in shows all over the US and Europe. Guy describes himself as a modern American Songster. https://guyforsyth.com

Will Taylor is one of Austin’s most innovative creatives. A multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, producer, sideman, and bandleader, Will has been a string player with orchestras all over Texas for over thirty years. Via his project, Strings Attached, he has collaborated with: AJ Croce, Bob Schneider, Daniel Johnston, Dar Williams, Gary Clark, Jr., James McMurtry, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Kat Edmonson, Kelly Willis, Pearl Jam, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and Shawn Colvin to name a few. http://willtaylor.com
